Lien Aid in Asia
Lien Aid was set up in 2006 through the Lien Foundation - Nanyang Technological University Environmental Endeavour to address the water and sanitation crisis in developing countries around Asia. With 3 country offices located in Cambodia, Vietnam and China, Lien Aid coordinates its projects from its Singapore HQ. In less than four years, we have impacted over 200,000 lives in Cambodia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand through various water treatment, sanitation and community development initiatives.
This rapid growth is the result of our highly collaborative approach, as we are constantly engaging local governments, NGOs, educational institutions and the private sector in order to share resources. The solutions that we co-create with our partners are practical and appropriate to the local context where we work.
Lien Aid undertook some projects in Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand in the past but is now concentrating its efforts to support sustainable development in communities in 3 countries where our field offices are, however we do not exclude an expansion in the future.
